Transducers

Sonic Concepts specializes in the development and manufacturing of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) transducers used in biomedical and industrial applications. We also design and manufacture imaging transducers, hydrophones and general-purpose ultrasound transducers.

Therapy Transducers

Our therapy transducers include High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), High Intensity Therapeutic Ultrasound (HITU), Low Intensity Therapeutic Ultrasound (LITU) and Histotripsy. These are used in ablation, cavitation and other types of biomedical applications.

Imaging Probes

Our imaging probes allow you to integrate real-time imaging arrays with your HIFU transducer system for USgHIFU. They are made with high-bandwidth, single-crystal technology and are delivered in environmentally sealed housings, which can be compatible with MRI machines.

Sonic Concepts also provides 2D array imaging probes up to 7,000 elements.

Hydrophones

Sonic Concepts provides calibrated high intensity hydrophones build to withstand high intensity conditions and wide bandwidth passive cavitation detectors (PCD). Calibration is performed using substitution traceable to NIST.

Pulse-Echo and General Purpose

Our general-purpose line of transducers refer to non-therapy or imaging, such as pulse-echo, Doppler and applications. We also offer custom transducer designs for your specific application.
